 First what does internet mean, 'Interconnected Network'

​

1.  The Internet  is a connection of computers to a central network. The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the Internet protocol suite 'Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' to link several billion devices worldwide.  This is where we get the term IP address from, the IP address identifies each device attached to the Internet.                                                                                           

2. The World Wide Webb (WWW) is an information source whereby billions of web sites and thus web pages are available. The information they contain travels across the 'Internet' as and when requested, Usually via a browser ( IE, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Bing etc). Other uses Email Messaging etc.
