What we will do should a data breach occur.

 

 

Definition.

​

A data breach will be declared if any of the below occurs:

​

• The laptop containing the data is accessed illegally and the data is stolen.

• The laptop containing the data is stolen.  

• The backup device containing the data is stolen or accessed illegally.

• A paper copy of the class data is stolen.

​​

 

In each case an investigation into how the breach occurred will be made and measures will be put in place to prevent a re-occurrence.

​

Members whose data may have been accessed or stolen will be appraised of the situation so they can take appropriate action.
